Demographics Details in Client Profile

As part of the ONC Certification process, Healthie now enables providers to record, change, and access their clients' Demographic Details.

To help providers better understand genetic predisposition and aid in holistic reporting, we've added options for Race, Ethnicity, Sexual Orientation, Gender, and Pronouns within the Client Profile > Actions > Personal Information

AI Scribe and Pronoun Handling

Because Healthie's AI Scribe is transcript-driven, it relies on the clinical encounter's conversation and does not automatically pull demographic data from patient profiles into its general context. To ensure accurate and inclusive pronoun usage in your AI Scribe generated notes, we recommend the following best practices:

  • Add the 'Pronouns' smart field to your form: Pronouns is a supported smart field. By adding it to your charting form, Scribe will automatically pre-fill it with the patient's existing profile data. If pronouns are discussed during the session, Scribe will update the field and write it back to the client profile.
  • Configure custom instructions: Add form-level or organization-level custom instructions to guide how Scribe applies pronouns in the narrative. For example: "If the Pronouns field is empty, use they/them. Do not infer or guess."
