E-Rx: Supervising MDs

DoseSpot does have a feature that allows for supervising physicians/collaborating MDs to be added over another clinician's prescriptions. If you would like the supervising MD to automatically be added to all prescriptions, they will need a DoseSpot account created to officially connect to the other provider's account. To request that this be added, please submit a ticket to hello@gethealthie.com.

FAQs

If a provider is prescribing EPCS, does their supervising physician also need to be enabled with EPCS?

Yes, the supervising physician will need to be enabled with EPCS in order to be listed over another provider's prescriptions, regardless of whether the provider they're overseeing will be prescribing EPCS.

Is there a way to list a supervising physician without adding a DoseSpot seat to my account?

Yes, you can also list the supervising physician under the 'pharmacy notes' section of the prescription you're sending, but this will be a manual step taken with each prescription.

A provider only needs a supervising physician listed in some states, not all. How can we specify that on our prescriptions?

DoseSpot only allows one supervising physician per clinic, and once added to that clinic, their name will be listed on all prescriptions sent by that provider under that clinic. It's not possible for their name to show on only some prescriptions sent by that provider under that clinic. The recommendation here is to not connect their accounts officially in DoseSpot and instead, list the supervising physician's name in the 'pharmacy notes' of the prescriptions that need it.
