Migrate from Tebra to Healthie
Healthie makes it easy to migrate from Tebra to Healthie. Here is the three-step process, and some FAQs that we've received from other providers who have successfully completed this migration.
Step 1: Create your Healthie account
Sign up for a Healthie provider account using this link.
Step 2: Export your patient data from Tebra
Export Patient Demographics
To export an Excel or CSV file of your patients and contact information:
- Select Reports from the top menu bar.
- Choose Patients, then select Patient Demographics Export.
- Click Customize to adjust filters (such as Account Balances or Status) and select OK.
- Click Excel or CSV and save the file to your secure folder.
This file can be uploaded to Healthie and used for demographic imports.
Export Clinical Data and Documents
To export clinical notes and patient documents in bulk:
- Hover over the User icon and click Practice Settings.
- Click Data Management and select Export Patient Data.
- Click Run Export and choose a timeframe and provider.
- Set the date range for the export and click Run Export again.
- Once the status changes to Ready, click the download icon to retrieve your ZIP folder.
Please note: Tebra's standard clinical data export provides XML files. XML files are not a supported import format for Healthie. If you plan to migrate clinical records, Tebra may offer alternative export formats through their Data Services. We recommend contacting Tebra to discuss available export options. If you receive XML files, they must first be converted into a supported format before being provided to Healthie's migration team.
Step 3: Complete Healthie's Import Questionnaire
Next, complete Healthie's Import Questionnaire and attach your exported patient demographic file.
From there, our migration team will be in touch regarding specifics of the import and timeline. If you have any questions or concerns, you can always bring them up to a Customer Success Manager during your onboarding call, or email hello@gethealthie.com.
FAQs
Are there any types of information that will not be migrated?
On most Healthie plans, we are only able to import patient demographic information into your Healthie account.
If you are on an Enterprise plan, we may be able to migrate other information as well.
Can Healthie import my chart notes from Tebra?
Tebra's bulk clinical export is provided as XML Summary of Care files. Healthie's migration team is unable to import XML files directly. If you would like clinical records reviewed for migration, the files must first be converted into a supported format before being submitted to our team.
What file formats does Healthie accept?
If importing from an EHR, Healthie typically accepts client files in ZIP, CSV, or PDF format.
If importing from a spreadsheet, the file uploaded must be either a CSV or Excel (XLS) file.
