Add CPT (Procedure) Favorites

When completing a CMS 1500 claim form, adding at least one diagnosis code and one procedure code is required. You can search in Healthie's Procedure Code field for your procedure. “Procedures, Services or Supplies” identify the medical services and procedures provided to your patient. Our procedure codes are sourced from the CPT list, which provides a uniform nomenclature for coding medical procedures and services. CPT codes, shorthand for Current Procedural Terminology, are critical to streamlining reporting and increasing accuracy and efficiency, as well as for administrative purposes such as claims processing and developing guidelines for medical care review.

For quicker claim creation, providers or billers can set Favorite CPT codes for their account. This enables favorited codes to appear at the top of the drop-down when adding a CPT/Procedure code for a client within a claim.

Add a CPT / Procedure Favorite

When editing or creating a new CMS 1500 claim form (Clients > Client Name > Billing > New CMS 1500), there is a section for Billing Items

A biller or provider can click into a blank Procedure Code 1 field, where they will see pre-added favorites with a banner at the top of the drop-down menu.

To add a new favorite, click + Add Favorite Procedure Codes.

A modal will appear, allowing the provider or biller to search for, and save, favorite procedure codes.

Delete a CPT / Procedure Favorite

From the same user flow, when creating or editing a claim form, click into the Procedure Code 1 field. Previously saved favorites will appear with both a banner and trash icon next to them.

Click the trash icon to remove as a favorite.
