E-Rx: Identify Proofing (IDP)
Every provider being set up with access to E-Rx will need to complete the DoseSpot agreements as well as the Identity Proofing (IDP) process.
This verification step requires information from the provider including a credit card number, social security number, and driver's license (or acceptable ID alternative).
DoseSpot partners with Experian for identity proofing. Experian is a third-party consumer-credit reporting company that works with DoseSpot to confirm a user's identity. The compare the information provided with an individual's existing credit profile to confirm their identity. No information provided is saved by DoseSpot.
To initiate IDP in the Current UI:
- Log in to Healthie
- Navigate to a client's profile
- Scroll to the Medications section
- Click the Order and manage prescriptions button
- Click on the exclamation point icon within that area and follow prompts from there.
To initiate IDP in the Enhanced UI:
- Log in to Healthie
- Navigate to a client's profile > Medications
- Click the Order and Manage
- In the Identify Proofing pop-up, click Begin Identity Proofing
- An Identity Proofing side modal will appear, where you'll need to acknowledge the terms > click Next
- Fill out your Prescriber Information > Next
- After your information is verified, you'll receive a text message with a link to complete the IDP Facial Recognition Process
- Open the link via text message and click Let's get started from your mobile device
- Select the document that you'll use to verify your identity and follow the photo prompts
- Once complete, return to DoseSpot and you'll see a green banner to indicate success





If you fail the Experian identity questions, you will have up to 3 attempts. After the third failure, you'll be directed to ID.me. You can access the ID.me user guide here.
Once you've successfully verified through ID.me, you'll receive a confirmation email stating "You've been verified!". After this, it typically takes 24 hours for the verification to process on the backend.
Important: If you try to enter DoseSpot on the same day you successfully verify with ID.me, it might still appear as if you haven't been verified. Don't worry! Your verification is indeed being processed.
Still Not Verified After 24 Hours? If you enter DoseSpot the day after your successful ID.me verification and are still unable to proceed, please submit a ticket to hello@gethealthie.com, and we will escalate this to DoseSpot for immediate support.
Note: If you were previously using an e-Prescribing feature through another EMR, DoseSpot may occasionally request additional information from us to transfer your records. Should that happen, we will submit a ticket to their support team to facilitate that switch for you.
