How to Sync Multiple Healthie Calendars

Healthie's Calendar can be synced with other calendars to streamline scheduling, prevent double bookings, and centralize appointment management. If you manage multiple Healthie accounts, such as working with different organizations or running separate practices, your Healthie calendars do not automatically sync with each other. This can lead to double bookings unless availability is manually adjusted.


Understanding the Syncing Issue

Each Healthie account can only be linked to one Google account at a time. This means that if you have multiple Healthie accounts, their calendars do not automatically sync. To ensure all appointments are accounted for, you need to:

  • Sync each Healthie calendar externally with Google Calendar.
  • Sync those external Google Calendars with each other.

Healthie offers a Push to main calendar setting. If you have multiple Healthie accounts with the same email this can be configured by reaching out to hello@gethealthie.com so this can be enabled for your account.


Steps to Sync Multiple Healthie Calendars


1. Ensure Your Google Calendars Have Access to Each Other

If you manage multiple Google Calendars, ensure they have the appropriate permissions:

  1. Open Google Calendar.
  2. Click the gear icon in the top-right and select > Settings.
  3. Under Settings for my Calendar, select a calendar you want to share.
  4. Scroll to Share with specific people and groups.
  5. Add your other Google account(s) and set permissions to Make changes and manage sharing.
  6. Repeat for all relevant calendars.

2. Sync Your Google Calendar with Each Healthie Account

For each Healthie account:

  1. Log into Healthie.
  2. Navigate to Settings > External Sync.
  3. Select Google Calendar and sign in with your Google account.
  4. Under Calendars to pull in, check off all relevant calendars (e.g., if Google Calendar A has access to Google Calendar B, you can select B to sync as well).
  5. Save your settings and allow sync to process.

3. Verify Your Sync Settings

  • Go back to Google Calendar and confirm that all synced calendars display correctly.
  • Check your Healthie Calendar in each account to ensure appointments are reflected accurately.

Troubleshooting

If appointments are not syncing as expected:

  • Confirm that each Google Calendar has edit access to the other.
  • Check that all desired calendars are selected in Settings > External Sync within Healthie.
  • If issues persist, try removing and re-adding the Google Calendar integration.
