Smart Phrase Hotkeys

Healthie currently supports the use of Smart Phrases, your go-to phrases, recommendations, and responses that you can save, and quickly apply while charting.

We've introduced hotkeys you can use to access your smart phrases.

To utilize this feature:

  • Type "." in a charting note to open a dropdown of smart phrases.
  • To find a specific phrase, type "." followed by keywords from the phrase.

Update to Automatic Charge Settings in Client Financials

We've updated how the "Automatically charge the client’s payment method" checkbox appears in the Financials section of a client’s profile. Previously, this checkbox was always visible, even if automatic charging was turned off at the global settings level. Now, it will only appear if “Automatically charge for appointments” is enabled in global settings.

To manage this setting, go to Settings > Appointments > Payments & Credits to toggle “Automatically charge for appointments” on or off.

This update ensures a clearer and more consistent experience when managing client payments.

Update to Provider Inactivation Settings: Clients Can Only Be Reassigned Within Sub-Organization

Healthie makes it easy for you to update the status of active providers in the case of a personnel change or a member of your team leaving by allowing you to mark a standard or support account as "Inactive". To complete this, you must reassign the Inactive provider's clients to a new provider. We've released an update that ensures users can only reassign an inactive provider's clients to other providers within their sub-organization, helping maintain continuity of care.

Update: Permissions and Notifications

This update will ensure that “Parent” permissions, which control access to other related permissions, follow the intended behavior when disabled. If you disable a parent permission, any permissions that depend on it will be automatically deselected and disabled.

Specific parent permissions that will now follow this intended behavior include:

  • Can View Organization Tab - disabling this permission will also deselect the following:
    • Can view the organization calendar that includes all org members' schedules
    • Can edit and delete appts on behalf of other members
    • Is notified when a client for any other team member books an appointment or purchases a package
    • Is notified via email and notification bell if an appointment is canceled by a client with any other org member.
    • Can add members to the organization
    • Can edit and remove members in the organization

Additional Updates

Minor bug fixes. Thank you for taking the time to report these issues to our team, so that we could diagnose and address these for those affected. If any of these issues persist, please let us know by contacting us at hello@gethealthie.com.

Charting

  • Previously, users would encounter an error when trying to apply a care plan template created by another team member to a client or client group. With this update, org members can now successfully apply shared care plan templates without any errors.
  • Resolved an issue to ensure Goals associated with a Program can be completed by a provider.
  • Resolved an issue to ensure that the locked status remains visible when multiple chart notes are added to a single appointment
  • The "View Message" button in chat notification emails will now open all conversations, including archived chats.
  • The Packages section in the Quick Profile will now be hidden from clients if they do not have any packages, creating a cleaner and more relevant experience.
  • The AutoResponder day selection in chat settings is now fully interactive and properly styled, making it easier to customize your availability.

Scheduling

  • We made an update to improve clarity when deleting a single instance of a recurring availability. Now, before deletion, a confirmation message will clearly indicate that removing one instance will delete all occurrences in the series and that this action cannot be undone. This update ensures clearer communication while maintaining existing functionality.
  • Resolved an issue to ensure that patient notifications correctly reflect the appointment type and do not include an unintended video call option for in-person appointments.
  • When editing an after-appointment form, the After Appointment tab will now be highlighted, providing clearer navigation for providers.

EHR

  • Resolved an issue which caused the Org Member Permissions page to timeout if the organization has more than 2,000 users.
  • Replies to document-sharing emails will now go directly to the team member who shared the document instead of the document owner, ensuring faster follow-ups and smoother communication with clients.
  • Changing a user’s account type to Support now saves correctly along with any other permission changes. The confirmation prompt appears consistently when switching from Standard to Support.
  • The "Back" button has been removed from the Client List page to ensure consistency across the platform.
  • Logged-in clients will now complete the state licensure step during booking, ensuring appointments align with provider eligibility. This step will only be skipped if the booking link specifies a single state.
  • The default description in the Allergies section of the Client Actions tab now reads, "No allergies have been added for [Client Name]," providing clearer messaging.

Billing

  • Resolved an issue to ensure that selecting the arrow in the Client column of the CMS1500s list correctly sorts clients in alphabetical order.
  • Fixed an issue where the Client Metric report would generate rows for every patient in an organization regardless of the selected providers.
  • Resolved an issue to ensure that the CMS1500 dropdown on invoices correctly displays the date of service.
  • The "Can submit CMS 1500s to Office Ally" setting now properly disables the submit buttons and restricts access to submission actions when turned off.
  • Providers will no longer receive notifications for outside payments they log themselves, reducing unnecessary alerts.

Healthie Mobile

  • Clients' phone numbers are now clickable in their profiles on the Healthie mobile app, making it easier to initiate calls directly.

API

  • Org members with API access permissions can now seamlessly navigate to the API Keys page from the Settings menu, ensuring easier access to developer tools.
