Pause A Program For A Client

You can now pause a program for an individual client and resume it when they're ready — without removing them from the program. This is useful when a client needs a break due to illness, scheduling conflicts, billing issues, or simply needs more time on existing content.

While paused, module auto-release stops and program notifications are suppressed. When you resume, everything picks up exactly where it left off — no manual reconfiguration needed.


How to Pause a Program for a Client

  1. Navigate to Programs in your Healthie dashboard.
  2. Open the program you want to manage.
  3. Go to the Clients tab to view the client list.
  4. Find the client you want to pause and open their action menu (⋯).
  5. Select Pause Program.

The client's status will update to Paused in the client list so you can track who is paused at a glance.


What Happens When a Program is Paused

When a program is paused for a client:

Module auto-release = Stopped

Program notifications = Suppressed

Access to completed content = Preserved

Client's progress = Preserved


How to Resume a Program

  1. Navigate to the program's Clients tab.
  2. Find the paused client (look for the Paused status indicator).
  3. Open their action menu (⋯) and select Resume Program.

Module auto-release will restart from where it left off — no modules are skipped or repeated.


Frequently Asked Questions

Will the client know their program was paused? The client will stop receiving program notifications while paused. Depending on your workflow, you may want to communicate directly with the client about the pause.


Who can pause a client's program enrollment? Only providers can pause a program. Clients do not have the ability to pause their own enrollment.


Does the program resume automatically after a set period? No. Resume is manual — you control when the program restarts. There is no option to set an automatic resume date.


Can I pause programs for multiple clients at once? Not currently. Programs must be paused one client at a time; bulk pause is not supported.


Can clients still access their content while paused? Yes. Any modules a client has already unlocked remain accessible during the pause.


Will the client lose their progress if I resume their program? No. Progress is fully preserved. When you resume, auto-release picks up from the client's current position — nothing resets.


What happens to modules that were scheduled to release during the pause? They will not be released. Auto-release resumes from the schedule point when you resume — no content is skipped.


Can I see all clients with paused programs across my account? The paused status is visible in each program's client list. You can scan per-program to see who is currently paused.
