Export an Insurance Claim

Healthie's CMS 1500 feature makes it easy for you to create CMS 1500 claims and submit them (electronically or physically) to an insurance company for reimbursement for services. For providers in-network with Medicare or Medicaid, Healthie can be used to quickly create claims that can exported and submitted to CMS.

Once you've created your claim in Healthie, you can export it as a TXT file to then be uploaded to your insurance payer portal, or clearinghouse of choice. If you'd like to download or print a claim, please follow the instructions here

Export as a TXT File

A TXT is a standard text format that is easily recognized by most platforms including insurance payer portals and clearinghouses. You can export a Healthie claim as a TXT file and then submit it to your payer portal for processing.

Follow the steps below to export your claim as a PDF.

  • Navigate to Billing > CMS 1500's
  • Locate your claim
  • Click the [...] and select Export as TXT

The TXT file will automatically be downloaded to your local device. Follow the steps provided by your payer portal or clearinghouse to import the TXT file for processing.

Healthie offers an integration with Office Ally for direct claim submission.

Send a single claim, or batch send claims directly to Office Ally to be submitted, and receive remittance data back into Healthie.
