Implantable Devices Details in Client Profile are now Live!

As part of the ONC Certification process, Healthie now enables delivering information to all providers so that they can know what devices their clients have, and use that information to deliver safer and more effective care.

Healthie wants to ensure that the device list remains accurate and up to date as devices are added, edited, or removed for clients. Within Client Profile > Actions you'll now see an Implantable Devices section.

Family History Details in Client Profile are now Live!

As part of the ONC Certification process, Healthie now enables providers to record, change, and access their clients' family health histories with a focus on the first degree relatives' diagnoses.

To help providers appropriately document a client's first degree relatives' diagnoses, we've added a section within the Client Profile > Actions for Family History.

Added Ability to Grant Portal Access through linked Client Accounts for Family/Caregiver Support

Healthie is revolutionizing the way family members and caregivers provide support as well as streamline communication, coordination, and information sharing. We now offer the capability to add client portal access for linked client accounts.

A primary use case for this new capability is a caregiver having an account that is linked to a care receiver, such as a parent being linked to a child. A parent can also access their child's account to pay a bill, fill out a form, or take care of something else.

This feature is currently available upon request for Healthie Plus Plans and above. You can get access to this feature by reaching out to Healthie Technical Support at hello@gethealthie.com, and asking for access to this feature.

Additionally, feel free to share your thoughts on this feature and how it could benefit your business via Productboard. We'll reach out to you directly as we roll out this feature to more customers. Please subscribe to our Portal Card for updates.

API & SDK Updates

All features added this month are also available directly via the API. In addition, we will be adding to this section new functionality and updates you can share with your team.

[UPDATE] Rate Limits Set for Healthie API

We have adjusted our API rate limits to the following:

  • Maximum of 100 sign-ins per minute
  • We will continue to adjust-down the number of calls per second according to the following timeline:
    • Dec 1, 2023: 750 RPS
    • Jan 1, 2024: 500 RPS
    • Feb 1, 2024: 250 RPS

*If leveraging your own API database, we will continue to support rate limiting at 1000 RPS.

Healthie sets limits on how many requests can made against our API within a certain period of time. We put them in place to help ensure the stability and performance of our system. If you make too many requests over that period, our system will return an error message telling you that the rate limit has been exceeded.

Additional API Updates:

  • Updated/adjusted Webhook (appointment.updated ) notifying you of when a patient cancels an appointment from an SMS appointment reminder
  • Added Webhooks for created, updated, and deleted locations (location.created , location.updated , location.deleted ) to allow Organizations to more effectively track changes in client/patient addresses
  • Added Webhooks for completed_onboarding_item.created, completed_onboarding_item.updated, and completed_onboarding_item.deleted to allow Organization to more effectively track when a client has completed an onboarding item

Additional Updates

Minor bug fixes. Thank you for taking the time to report these issues to our team, so that we could diagnose and address these for those affected. If any of these issues persist, please let us know by contacting us at hello@gethealthie.com.

Form and Data Handling:

  • Resolved an issue so that when a form is used that includes the BMI Smart Field, if the fields are left empty/blank, no journal entries should be created for those metrics.
  • Updated handling blank allergy sensitivities so that it does not prevent providers from creating new charting notes.
  • Resolved an issue to avoid errors with nil nutrient_values in journal entries.
  • Resolved an issue with form responses so that conditionally hidden answers do not appear on signed & locked chart notes.

Email and Notification Management:

  • Resolved an issue to ensure that individual Package emails populate when there is a default Custom Package Purchase email template configured.
  • Resolved an issue to ensure that when a client gets added to a Group that has an existing Group Appointment already on the Calendar, the client receives (based on settings) email notifications related to that Appointment.
  • Resolved an issue with expiring insurance emails - they will now not be sent to archived patients.

Payment and Billing:

  • Resolved an issue so that coupon codes can be used to pay invoices.
  • Made an update to ensure that first-time payments (especially those with a first payment of $0) will only be charged once on Packages.
  • Made an update to ensure that the Organization Billing page loads when there are deleted Outside Payments attached to Invoices.
  • Made an update to ensure that existing Payments from a series of automatic Payments that have been stopped will show as Paid (green check mark).

CMS 1500 Management:

  • Resolved an issue to ensure that CMS 1500s for the client selected are the only options populated into the dropdown (not all clients).
  • Resolved an issue so that if a qualifier is selected for one CMS 1500 and it pre-fills into another future CMS 1500, you can now unselect the qualifier to allow you to submit the claim with the correct information. Also updated the behavior of automatically created CMS 1500s and manually created CMS 1500s to match - now, Diagnostic Pointers and Modifiers are prefilled no matter the method of creation.
  • Resolved an issue so that users with correct permissions should now be able to submit CMS 1500 when creating/editing CMS 1500.
  • When a client has a legal name filled in, it will now correctly show instead of client's preferred name when editing a CMS 1500.
  • Made an update to ensure that you are able to download CMS 1500s as TXT files.

Appointment Management:

  • Resolved an issue to ensure that changes applied to "All Future Appointments" in a recurring group appointment series will remain regardless of the Organization Members being changed.
  • Made an update to ensure that when a provider edits a Zoom Appointment Date and/or Start Time, the Zoom meeting Date and/or Time should also be updated.

User Interface (UI) Updates:

  • Updated the Client Profile UI so that goals with a description and with sub-goals will appear in the quick profile section.
  • Updated the Task Index Page to show all tasks when sorting by the client column (even if no client is assigned).
  • Made an update to ensure that when an Organization member runs a report, a patient's Legal Name is used to populate the Name column(s), and not their Preferred Name.

Miscellaneous Technical Improvements and Fixes:

  • Resolved a few small issues with the Appointment Type Graph rendering the correct information.
  • Resolved an issue around "Set as Inactive" for Organization members not working when the assigned client list is too large. It now works as intended when archiving or marking clients inactive.
  • Resolved an issue with chats so that when a user is creating a chat, if they receive another chat, the one they are writing will not get lost/be removed.
  • Made an update to ensure that patients should be able to switch into their archived accounts.
