April Releases:
Added Date Range Field for Date(s) of Service in a CMS 1500
In a standard, print CMS 1500 you can have a Date(s) of Service range for a Procedure Code. In order to better accommodate Organizations who have bundled weekly case rates, and need the ability to have a Date Range applied to each Procedure Code, we have added the ability to add a Date Range for Date(s) of Service in CMS 1500s.
In order to select a Date Range for your Date(s) of Service, select "Date Range" within the "Date of Service" dropdown menu. You will then see the following view.

Added Ability to Set Package Purchase Cap for Patients
We have now added the ability to allow Organizations who sell Packages to set a limit for how many times a Package can be purchased by patients. This functionality helps Organizations better manage their Package "inventory."
Previously, Organizations had to manually check how many Packages were sold, and if more Packages were purchased than were demanded by patients, Organizations would often have to retroactively refund their patients. Patients are now able to see when a Package is sold out, and as a result, they will not be able to purchase the Package.

DoseSpot’s ePA Network has Expanded - Welcoming CoverMyMeds!
Electronic Prior Authorization (ePA) represents the next level in the evolution of prior authorization technologies. Unlike basic PA, which involves manual work often completed by medical assistants or other clinical staff, ePA is fully automated, integrating seamlessly with EHR/EMR systems to provide real-time authorization decisions. This means that as soon as a healthcare provider prescribes a treatment, the ePA system immediately checks for insurance coverage and authorization requirements, submitting a request if necessary, and rapidly returning a decision.
DoseSpot's ePA network has expanded as they will welcome CoverMyMeds, a leader in (ePA) solutions, to their integrated ePrescribing application.
On April 8, 2024, this feature will be live in the DoseSpot application production environment. If Healthie customers are interested in utilizing DoseSpot's expanded (ePA) network, no further action is needed, however, if you do NOT want the ePA network enabled for their application, you can Opt Out here.
See our DoseSpot expanded ePA network Info Sheet here.

Updates to DoseSpot: Identity Proofing Process (IDP)
Every provider being set up with access to E-Rx in Healthie will need to complete the DoseSpot agreements as well as the Identity Proofing (IDP) process.
NEW as of 3/31/24 - Facial recognition is now a part of identity verification. Please note that this process is only necessary for providers who have not yet completed IDP prior to 3/31/24. Facial recognition identification is an easier, more secure method to complete, and involves just a couple steps to take a photo of your identification (such as a driver's license or passport) and a selfie of your face. You will see a pop-up, IDP Facial Recognition, that will provide more information on completing the Experian Facial Recognition Process on your cell phone.
For providers to complete this process:
- Log in to Healthie
- Navigate to a client's profile
- Scroll to the e-Prescriptions section
- Click on the "Add and Manage Prescriptions" button
- Accept the 3 Agreements on the first screen (if you have not done so already)
- Click on the exclamation point (!) icon within that area and follow the prompts from there.
See the attached guide for more info: DoseSpot Facial Recognition Guide.

- Email on failure: If your service continues to return an error, we will send an email notification to let you know after approximately 24 hours. Currently these failure emails will be sent to whoever created the webhook within your Organization.
- Email on disable: If your service continues to return an error, we will disable the webhook after approximately 3 days. Currently these disable emails will be sent to whoever created the webhook within your Organization.
- Better URL validation: We have better validations around the URL of the service that you specify. You will be notified sooner if your URL does not validate.
- Signed payloads: We will send an HTTP header with an encoded signature that you can decode and inspect to know that the webhook that you received came from Healthie.
- Thin payloads: When webhooks are sent for updates, we will include a 'changed_fields' property to the payload we send. This property will contain a list of fields that changed during the update.
