Vimeo Video Uploads
Alternatively to hosting videos within Healthie, videos can be uploaded to an external video hosting site such as Youtube, Loom, or Vimeo. If you plan to add a video to a Healthie Program, please use one of these 3 hosting platforms only, as other hosting sites are not currently supported.
Uploading a Video to Vimeo to be Used in Healthie
We recommend that you follow Vimeo's instructions on uploading a video.
For your convenience, some basic information is provided below, in addition to steps for uploading a Vimeo video to a Healthie Program module.
- Navigate to Programs > Modules > Add Module
- Give your module a title (clients will see the title) and indicate on what day you want the video to become available to enrolled participants
- Select "Video" from the content type
- Paste the Vimeo URL link for the video
- Click "Add Module"
Clients will be able to view these videos in-platform, and will not be re-directed to the video-hosting website

Notes:
- If you have a free account on Vimeo and would like to protect the privacy of your videos, please select "Only people with the password".
- For a video to display in Healthie, please make sure you have enabled "Embed Anywhere" within the video's permissions in your Vimeo account.
Formatting for Unlisted Vimeo Links
If you are finding that an unlisted Vimeo video link is not rendering properly in Healthie, you'll need to manually update the link with the correct formatting. Please follow the step-by-step instructions below.
For unlisted videos, a little extra formatting needs to be done on your end to allow the URL to populate in Healthie. A fix is on the radar for our engineering team, but in the interim, here's a quick workaround:
- add "player." in front of the vimeo.com
- After vimeo.com add /video/
- Finally add the /?h= after the video number in the link
The format will be the same for every Vimeo link. So, for example, the Vimeo sharing URL will be:
https://player.vimeo.com/video/713382005/?h=10faa12231
