New Authentication Platform (Login Screen)

This update is live in staging environments only at this time.

We’re introducing a new sign-on experience in Healthie designed to improve security, reliability, and long-term scalability. This update lays the foundation for modern authentication features while keeping provider and admin access consistent and familiar.

For customers with staging accounts, you will notice a new login screen. As a part of this update, more security rules have been introduced to staging accounts, as outlined below:

Our authentication system includes multiple layers of security monitoring and enforcement, which may include: bot detection, recognizing unknown devices, multiple failed password attempts, breached password detection, impossible travel detection, suspicious IP analysis, stale account management, and email credibility checks. These controls may prompt additional verification, restrict access, or flag activity for review."

Payments Dashboard in Visualize

We've launched an interactive Payments Report in Visualize that gives you instant, self-service access to all your payment data - eliminating the need for manual exports and support requests. You can now explore payment information dynamically, perform reconciliation faster, and generate reports on demand.

What you can do:

  • Filter flexibly: Narrow down payments by date range, status, payment type, and invoice type to find exactly what you need.
  • See comprehensive details: Access all payment information including amounts, dates, client data, invoice details, and transaction statuses in one clean table.
  • Analyze trends: View pre-built visualizations showing payment totals, success rates, and method distribution.
  • Download instantly: Export filtered data for reconciliation, accounting workflows, or external reporting without waiting.
  • Work independently: Query real-time data from Healthie's data warehouse without impacting system performance or requiring support intervention.

This self-service dashboard makes financial operations smoother, month-end closing faster, and payment analytics accessible whenever you need them.

Community Chat Member Limits for Improved Performance

We've implemented standardized member limits for community chats to ensure your group conversations remain fast, reliable, and responsive as your community grows. This proactive optimization prevents the performance issues that can occur in very large group chats, keeping your messaging experience smooth and consistent.

What's changing:

  • Industry-standard limits: Community chats now have a default limit of 256 members
  • Prevents slowdowns: Protects against performance issues including slow loading times, conversation timeouts, and failed updates that can occur in oversized groups.
  • Proactive optimization: Maintains fast, dependable messaging experiences even during peak engagement periods.

This update ensures your community chats remain a reliable tool for engagement, education, and support; no matter how active your groups become.

Additional Updates

Minor bug fixes. Thank you for taking the time to report these issues to our team, so that we could diagnose and address them for those affected. If any of these issues persist, please let us know by contacting us at hello@gethealthie.com.

  • When viewing Metrics within a client's profile, your last selected date range will remain when you return to the Metrics page so that you don't need to reapply filters when navigating away and back.
  • We've ensured attendance visibility for Group Charting Notes by consistently displaying "Attended" next to a client's name when they have checked in or have been marked as attended by the provider.
  • We resolved an issue where the Drug Allergy field could extend beyond the form layout, ensuring it now displays consistently with other allergy selections.

API Updates

All features added this month are also available directly via the API. In addition, we are laser focused on building a best-in-class customer experience, which includes continuously investing in, and iterating on, our developer experience. This will include updates to documentation, SDKs, Webhooks and more, throughout the upcoming months.

  • Date Validation Update: We’ve rolled out an improvement to how Healthie validates date fields submitted through the platform and API. Starting February 9, new or updated records will be required to use valid dates. Invalid dates (such as years outside the supported range: 1900-2099) will return an error rather than being accepted. This update applies only to new or updated data, existing records will not be impacted.
  • Complexity Based Rate Limiting: We’re rolling out an improvement to Healthie’s API rate limiting on February 11. Rate limits will be based on query complexity, not just request volume, an industry best practice that helps ensure consistent performance and reliability across the platform.
    • We employ an algorithm for managing rate limiting which computes points based on the complexity of the operation being performed and stops processing new traffic for a given organization once they hit the maximum number of points allowed.  Traffic is allowed again once some of the previous queries have been completed freeing up available points.
    • The number of points an operation consumes (especially queries) can be reduced by pulling back only the necessary fields for your operation from our API, rather than requesting all available data.
    • This is primarily targeted at managing traffic spikes, not normal traffic scenarios.
