December 2021: Release Notes

Platform release notes: December 2021. Learn what new changes to the Healthie platform and mobile app that both providers and clients can expect to see. With new releases each week, make the most of Healthie's new features by bookmarking this help article and checking back frequently.


Schedule a Client to be Charged

Healthie is designed to make payment processing flexible, easy, and professional. Clients with a payment card on file can be charged immediately for a payment, or providers can choose to schedule a payment to charge at a future date.

Updated Medication Field in Forms 

Electronic forms are designed to help providers capture detailed information from clients. Healthie's "Medication Field" can be added to any intake form, and will prompt clients to provide information regarding their medication history, including: 

  • Select or type a medication name 
  • Medication dosage 
  • Indicator if the medication is actively being take or not (allowing clients to provide information on past medication history) 
  • Instructions they've been provided 
  • Start & end date for the medication (if there is an end date) 
  • Any comments the client may have related to the medication

To add this field to a form:  Form Builder > Select Form > Charting Category > Drag and drop the "List any medications you are taking" field onto your form

This information will save directly to your client's profile. Providers can also manually add a medication to their client's profile. Learn more about documenting client medication history

Add Care Team Members When Adding a New Client 

When adding a new client to Healthie, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the client information. You'll notice an option + Care Team Members > Select team members to add from the drop-down.

Improved Sorting of Forms 

Quickly sort and locate specific forms within your Forms library. Tap the "arrow" next to each column header to sort the column by type, name, creator, or date last updated. 

Tap the categories menu to further sort your forms by intake forms, charting templates, or program forms. 

Archive a Form 

If there are forms or charting templates that you no longer would like to display in your forms list, it can now be archived. 

  • Navigate to your forms list and locate the form you would like to archive 
  • Click the actions tab (three dots) > select "Archive" 


When a form is archived it will no longer appear as an option when creating/editing an intake flow, creating a new charting note, and you will not be able to send a completion request for it. The form will be removed from any intake flow that it appears in. 

Clients that have already completed the form or received a request to complete it will still be able to view/complete the form. You and your clients will still have access to any archived forms that were completed or partially completed. Learn more about Healthie intake forms

Add External Video Link to Appointments 

There may be instances where you'd like to host an individual or group call through a video conferencing platform outside of Healthie. When creating your appointment, you will now see the option to select "Provide External URL for Video Chat" > paste the URL.

Additional Updates

  • Minor bug fixes.
  • Improved viewing of client forms from the Healthie mobile app (for providers). 
  • Improved load time for several items within the Healthie platform. 
  • Addition of primary procedure code to the Superbill report
  • Ability to link a Greek bank account in order to process payments within Healthie. 
  • Ability to add a new referring provider directly from a Superbill.
