Platform Release Notes: September 2026. Learn what new changes to the Healthie platform and mobile app that both providers and clients can expect to see. With new releases each week, make the most of Healthie's new features by bookmarking this help article and checking back frequently.

Embedded Zoom Experience for Video Appointments

Healthie now supports joining Zoom video visits directly within the platform (no app switching, no downloads, no interruption to clinical workflows). This release embeds Zoom's familiar meeting interface into the Healthie web UI, giving providers and clients a seamless, one-click path to telehealth visits.

• Join in Healthie: Providers and clients access Zoom visits directly in the browser so that patient context, notes, and tools stay visible throughout the session.
• Friction-free for clients: Clients join via the portal without needing to install or configure the Zoom app.
• Flexible adoption: Organizations can configure a default video call behavior (In Healthie or In Zoom App) and switch on their own timeline.
• Zero workflow disruption: Existing Zoom URLs, appointment management, and notifications remain completely unchanged.

This update makes telehealth visits easier to start, easier to conduct, and easier to document without ever leaving Healthie.

E-Rx: Multi-Clinic Support

Providers at multi-state organizations can now view and change a patient's DoseSpot clinic association directly in Healthie before entering the prescribing workflow. This release adds a clinic selector at all DoseSpot prescription entry points, reducing the risk of prescriptions being submitted under the wrong clinic.

• Clinic selection at the point of prescribing: A clinic selector now appears before the DoseSpot iframe at all entry points: the Combined Medications component in the Client Profile Overview and Quick Profile, and the Order E-Rx button in the Quick Profile.
• Persistent selection: Switching a patient's clinic carries forward, so providers aren't re-selecting on every visit.
• Scoped to who needs it: Only visible to users with DoseSpot credentials (provider or proxy roles) and only relevant to organizations with multiple clinics. Single-clinic orgs see no change.

This update gives multi-state organizations a clean way to manage clinic associations without engineering workarounds or prescription errors.

View Chart Notes on Mobile (iOS & Android)

Providers can now view chart notes natively in the Healthie mobile app -- no browser required. This gives providers access to the clinical context they need during home visits, in-person sessions, and on-call work.

What's included:

• View chart notes on iOS and Android
• Chart note content, status, history log, signatures, and addendums are all accessible
• AI Scribe-converted notes are fully viewable; a callout indicates when a note originated from AI Scribe
• Search, sort (newest, oldest, note name), and filter by note type, status, and date range

Note: This release covers view-only access. Chart note creation and editing on mobile are planned for a future release.

AI Encounter Summaries

AI Encounter Summaries is now available to all AI Charting customers at no additional cost.

When a charting note is locked, a structured clinical summary generates automatically from the AI Scribe session transcript. Each summary includes up to six labeled clinical bullets:

• Reason for Visit or Progress
• History
• Symptom Review
• Key Findings
• Current Treatment
• Plan

Summaries are editable inline, with all edits attributed by provider name, date, and time.

To enable access, you will need to be actively using Healthie's AI Charting (Scribe) feature. AI Charting customers can now enable the "Can generate encounter summaries" member permission for your providers.

AI Scribe Tasks

AI Scribe Tasks is now available to all AI Charting customers at no additional cost.

The moment an appointment ends, Healthie automatically generates a list of follow-up actions from the session transcript -- referrals, lab orders, prescription adjustments, and more.

AI Scribe Tasks appear in your Healthie task list, marked with a "Generated by AI" badge, and work like any other task: edit, complete, comment, or delete.  

Enable the "Can generate tasks by AI Scribe" member permission for your providers to get started.

Question Groups in Form Builder

Form Builder now supports question groups, allowing administrators to create named sections within form templates. Groups can be conditionally rendered, and any group can be duplicated.

What's included:

• Create named question groups within any form template by adding a group heading and dragging modules into it
• Apply conditional logic at the group level to show or hide entire sections dynamically
• Individual questions within a group can retain their own independent conditional logic
• Duplicate any module or question group to reuse question structures without rebuilding from scratch
• Copied questions inside a duplicated group retain their copy forward behavior

Task Management Improvements

You can now create tasks directly from a client's Quick Profile or Client Overview, and the client is pre-populated automatically. We've also added the ability to hide completed tasks from your task list, and a new creator filter lets you narrow tasks by a specific team member instead of just "self" or "others."

What's included:

• New "+ Create task" button in the Quick Profile and Client Overview with the client pre-populated
• Filter task list by creator: choose all members, myself, all except me, or a specific member

These updates give your team more control and fewer clicks when managing day-to-day tasks.

Enhanced Diagnosis Code Searchability

ICD-10 diagnosis code search in Healthie's charting interface now supports fuzzy matching and synonym expansion, so providers can find the right code even when they mistype or use a common clinical term instead of the exact billing label.

What's new:

• Typo tolerance: entering "ADDH" returns results for "ADHD" and related codes
• Synonym matching: searching "hyperactivity" surfaces attention-deficit codes
• Applies to all customers using the Diagnosis Module in charting

This update ensures that providers can quickly find the right ICD-10 code while charting.

No-Show Dashboard in Visualize

We've added a dedicated No-Show Dashboard to Visualize, giving organizations clearer visibility into appointment no-show patterns. This dashboard surfaces the metrics your team needs to monitor and reduce no-shows across your practice.

• See your no-show rate at a glance: View total no-shows, no-show rate, and average no-show appointment price in one place.
• Break it down by what matters: Filter no-show rates by appointment type, visit modality, and client confirmation status.
• Track provider-level trends: Review no-show rates by provider and appointment month with a detailed provider table.

These insights make it easier for practice administrators and operations teams to identify patterns, strengthen confirmation workflows, and reduce revenue loss from missed appointments.

Task Completion Dashboard in Visualize

The Task Completion Dashboard in Visualize gives organizations clearer visibility into task management and provider workload. This dashboard surfaces the metrics your team needs to stay on top of outstanding tasks and completion trends.

• See your task status at a glance: View open tasks, completion rate, average days to close, and overdue tasks in one place.
• Break it down by provider: See task completion and open tasks per provider with visual bar charts.
• Dig into the details: A full task detail table shows each task's assignees, client, due date, days open, status, and priority.

These insights make it easier for practice administrators and operations teams to identify workload imbalances, reduce overdue tasks, and keep the care team on track.

Real-Time Translated Captions for Zoom Video Appointments

Providers on Plus, Group, and Enterprise plans can now enable Zoom Translated Captions for video sessions — giving patients the ability to follow their care in their preferred language, live.

Once enabled for your organization, providers can activate translated captions from within any Zoom session and patients can independently select their own preferred caption language on their end — no additional setup required.

• 36 languages supported: Serve a broad range of patients with real-time caption translation in their preferred language.
• Provider-controlled: Activate captions from within the Zoom session — no separate tools or accounts needed.
• Patient autonomy: Each patient independently selects their preferred caption language, even in group sessions with multiple languages.
• Works across session types: Available for 1:1 appointments, group sessions, and webinars hosted through Healthie.

Multiple Contact Types Supported in Availability

We've updated Healthie's availability management to let providers assign multiple contact types (video call, in-person and phone call) to a single availability record. This update helps reduce calendar clutter and extra maintenance overhead.

• Multi-select contact types: Choose one, many, or all contact types when creating or editing an availability record.
• "All contact types" option: A new default selection covers every contact type at once, with no need to update records individually as new types are added.
• Updated calendar display: Availability tiles and hover details now show all assigned contact types on a single record.
• Accurate filtering: Contact type calendar filters work correctly when records span multiple types.

This update helps practices keep availability records clean, accurate, and easier to manage at scale.

API Updates

All features added this month are also available directly via the API. In addition, we are laser focused on building a best-in-class customer experience, which includes continuously investing in, and iterating on, our developer experience. This will include updates to documentation, SDKs, Webhooks and more, throughout the upcoming months.

As of September 1, 2026, Healthie introduced dynamic complexity scaling for appointment search queries. Queries that include Zoom-related fields and span longer date ranges will carry a higher complexity score, and requests that exceed the threshold will return a complexity-limit error.

The six Zoom fields affected are:

zoom_cloud_recording_urls   , zoom_cloud_recording_file   , zoom_appointment   , zoom_dial_in_info   , zoom_dial_in_info_html   , and zoom_dial_in_numbers_json   .

The threshold rolls out in phases:

• September 1, 2026 [IMPLEMENTED]: Queries spanning 24+ months, or any single query requesting 6+ months of data
• October 1, 2026: Queries spanning 12+ months
• November 1, 2026: Queries spanning 6+ months (final threshold)

Best practices:

• Check whether your integration requests any of the six Zoom fields above.
• If so, break those queries into smaller date windows (monthly or quarterly) and paginate as needed.
• For future appointment queries you can omit zoom_cloud_recording_urls    and zoom_cloud_recording_files   , as these fields do not return data for future appointments.
• As a general rule, breaking long-range date searches into smaller windows and paginating is recommended regardless of which fields are requested.
