July 2020: Release Notes

Platform release notes: July 2020. Learn what new changes to the Healthie platform and mobile app that both providers and clients can expect to see. With new releases each week, make the most of Healthie's new features by bookmarking this help article and checking back frequently! 


Appointments Settings Page Update

The Settings page that involves your appointments, including appointment reminders, ability for clients to cancel or reschedule appointments, and appointment buffers has been redesigned. With our new layout, you can easily review and understand each of the 20+ customizations you can make.

Calendar Improvements 

As part of a larger redesign, there have been several improvements to the Calendar feature, including: 

  • An improved display for editing or canceling and appointment. You'll now notice that when you click an appointment in your Calendar from the web browser, a side-drawer appears. From here you can add additional details for your appointment (ie. duration and status), click the "Pencil Icon" to edit the appointment, or click the "Trash Icon" to delete the appointment.   • If there is no availability for a provider within an organization, a client using the booking link will immediately see "No Availability" listed. This will prevent the client from having to go through several steps of the booking process before learning that there are no available times to book. 
  • When a client books an appointment, they are automatically prompted to add a "reason for appointment." This information is now visible within the "Notes" section of the appointment details. 
  • Ability to color-code synced appointments. Learn more about custom color schemes within Healthie. 


Card Issues 

Healthie makes it easy to keep track of important client financial information, including upcoming payments that will fail due to credit card issues. You can now see a list of current card issues by navigating to Billing > Payments > Card Issues.

In the Card Issues tab, you can review: 

  • Any client credit card that has had a failed payment.
  • Any client credit card that is set to expire before the next scheduled payment on that card.
  • Any client credit card that is expired.

Care Plans

Healthie's Care Plans feature enables providers and organizations to apply common protocols and methods of care to clients, while still facilitating the customization/personalization that may happen on a per-client basis. Within a Care Plan, you can add wellness recommendations, upload documents for clients to access, automatically set goals, and more

  • Addition of two new categories as options to select in "Recommendations" >> "Supplement" and "Other" 
  • Ability to create a "bulleted list" in "Recommendation" box 
  • When a document is added to a Care Plan, it is now automatically added to the client's "Viewable Documents" -- this will allow them to access and view the document at any time. 


Dashboard Redesign 

Your Provider Dashboard is the main screen that you see when logged into your Healthie account. Integral to your business, is for your dashboard to contain the most important information about your business and your clients. Our new dashboard design helps you keep your day organized, and high priority tasks visible, to keep business operations efficient. 

You'll now see three tabs, which you can toggle between on your dashboard: 

1. Overview tab: this tab displays by default and will show you important appointment and task details. You can also quickly add a new appointment or task from your home dashboard. 

2. Journal Entries tab: here you'll see a "newsfeed" of your clients' latest entries, from food logs, to metrics, and workouts. You can scroll through your feed and provide a quick reaction or a comment to better support your clients. Learn more about client engagement here

3. Dashboard tab: this is your business analytics dashboard, available for members with Practice Plus plans and above.

Documents Updates

More updates have been made to the way that you can upload, access, and share documents as part of a larger, ongoing redesign.

  • Our latest update improves the process of uploading a document. When "Add Document" is clicked, an improved upload box will appear, allowing you to select a file from your computer. Click "Select File" and locate the resource stored on your local computer. Click "Upload" to add the document in Healthie.

  • You are able to "Preview" a document by clicking the action tab (3 dots) next to a document. A side-drawer panel will appear with a preview of the document. 

  • Automatic addition of a document included in a Care Plan to client's "Viewable Documents" 
  • New modal for moving documents

E-Labs

This month we've released the beta version of E-labs. Healthie's E-labs feature enables providers to offer, and clients to purchase, labs within Healthie. This is currently restricted to Quest Labs. There will be additional updates and a widespread release of this feature in the upcoming months. You can learn more about E-Labs here. To gain access, please email hello@gethealthie.com


Google Fit Integration

A new release enables more data and metrics to be pulled in for clients who have enabled the Google Fit integration with Healthie. The list of data that now syncs includes:

  • Steps
  • Weight
  • Sleep
  • Walking distance
  • Running
  • Cycling
  • Swimming
  • Meditation/Mindfulness
  • Body fat percentage
  • Waist circumference
  • Food/meal tracking (if available) 
  • Number of activity minutes and additional details (ie. sleep quality) 

Insurance Authorization Report 

Healthie's Insurance Authorization Tracker enables you to keep track of critical insurance information related to a particular client's insurance coverage. This can be useful in understanding how many visits are approved for reimbursement, and how many have been utilized during a specific time period, to help manage and predict likelihood of insurance coverage for a particular client. 

For additional automation of workflow, the Insurance Authorization Tracker is connected to Reporting. Utilize this powerful report to keep track of clients who have exhausted their insurance benefits, and moreover, identify those who still have covered benefits for the year. 

There are now two reports pertaining to Insurance Authorization: 

  1. Your Clients' Insurance Authorization. Generating this report will provide relevant insurance authorization details for only clients associated with the provider who is logged into Healthie. 
  2. Organization Clients' Insurance Authorization. Generating this report will provide relevant insurance authorization details for all clients across the organization. This report will only display to providers within an organization. 


Notifications Page Update 

The Healthie platform automatically sends you and your clients emails and push notifications to keep you updated on client activity, account activity, and business needs. Email notifications are sent to your email address on file, and push notifications are sent through the mobile app to notify you of updates and actions. These notification preferences can be customized to meet your specific preferences.

  • With our latest release, the "Notifications" page has been redesigned with a cleaner, more intuitive layout. Notifications are now grouped into categories:
    • Client activity 
    • Chat 
    • Appointments 
    • Payments 
    • Documents 
    • Faxing 
  • Your preference selections now automatically save, so you do not need to manually save them. A green "Saved" indicator will appear at the top of the page to confirm your changes have been saved.


Additional updates:

  • Within the platform, we've changed the terminology from "Workout" to "Activity" to better represent the type of data clients can log within Healthie. 
  • Improvements to the iPad experience of viewing and completing forms. 
  • Improved workflow and experience for Chiropractors utilizing Healthie, including access to a set of common Chiropractor forms and specific settings being automatically customized. Learn more about utilizing Healthie as a chiropractor here
  • Addition of invoice "Notes" within the Payment Report
  • Addition of a "Push Notification" for custom goal reminders, so that clients receive their goal reminder on their mobile device. 
  • Various group appointment related test fixes 
  • Minor bug fixes and improvements
